Jonnie Ragsdale Gendron Endowed Scholarship

John R. Bailey is a native of Temple and graduate of Temple High School and Texas A&M University. He serves as trustee on Temple College Board of Trustees and as a the President of the Temple College Foundation Board. John established the Jonnie Ragsdale Gendron Scholarship to honor his mother. “My mother has tirelessly served and supported this community for decades and this is a way for me to honor her for a long time and to express my appreciation for everything she has done for me. She has inspired me and others with her work ethic, servant heart, and commitment to family and community. Hopefully, this scholarship will serve to inspire its recipients as well.”
