Nicholas Valdez
When the City of Cameron heard that Nicholas Valdez had passed away, they banded together to help his father and his three brothers grieve him properly. Through bake sales, and spare change, they collected enough to begin a scholarship endowment that will allow Nicholas to live on through the success of his Yoe graduates.
Impact
I remember hearing about Nicholas. I can’t believe I am getting his scholarship. This only makes me want to work harder and do better – for him, and for me.
