Ms. Catrina Lotspiech
The Mariachi de Temple Heritage Award was established as part of a Ford Motor Company and LULAC partnership. Temple ISD adopted the Mariachi music program and those students who graduate are encouraged to continue their music education at Temple College.
Impact
The Mariachi program got me to Temple College when I was in high school and made it seem like that’s where I wanted to go when I graduated. Even if I don’t end up being a professional musician, I’ve learned so much about the music genre and I love playing.
