Hubert L. "Pinky" and Waldean D. Linder

Hubert L. “Pinky” and Waldean D. Linder posthumously left an endowment to serve the young people of Temple just as they had worked during their lifetime to care for and enjoy the youth in their hometown. Pinky is remembered for loading up his truck with neighborhood kids, taking them to the drive in movies and giving everyone popsicles.

Impact

Firstly, may I express my absolute joy at the fact that you deemed my aspirations worthy enough to help fund my schooling. Out of the many applications you must’ve received I’m both proud and honored that you would choose mine to follow up on. Words cannot describe how thankful I am to you for aiding my further education.
As I register for classes and move into my apartment, I will remember you and your kindness. I promise I will never stop striving for success in both my classes and my field, and I will give my all to achieve my goals of making a difference in the world and in the field of nursing.
