Erroll, Barbara and Carol Wendland

Erroll Wendland and his wife Barbara Cook Wendland established the Cook Endowment which funds scholarships for students in the fine arts. Erroll also endowed a scholarship to honor his parents. Most importantly, Mr. Wendland began the initial Leopard Loan program by providing emergency funding that the Foundation could use at their discretion to ensure that a student not drop out of school due to a temporary financial setback. The Wendland’s daughter Carol, has continued to support the programs her parents established.

Impact

As one of this year?s recipients, this scholarship will make a huge difference in helping offset the costs for my senior year of learning and training in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to make a difference in other people?s lives through a career in healthcare. I am thankful that I am now able to realize that dream through the great instruction I am receiving at Temple College. I am looking forward to serving the community with these newly acquired skills within the next year.
