Impact

When I was doing my clinicals, it was obvious that I wanted to go into critical care. Not everyone is made for that. You have to think fast, work under pressure and have a deep knowledge of how to handle dire situations. I’ve learned that at TC and want to work in a department where my skills will constantly be tested. Unfortunately, working in critical care, you have a higher rate of losing patients because their situations are so severe. So, it isn’t just your technical skills, it’s being able to talk to families and help them through the process of grief, or the roller coaster of improvements and declines.
