Anna Jane Davis Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Anna Jane Davis fought hard to make a life for herself.  Having grown up in the foster care system, she determined that nursing was a career where she could help others and feel connected to people.  Her specialty in critical care nursing gave tremendous comfort to her patients and their families.  Anna died suddenly while at work just one year after graduating.  Her colleagues, and Temple College cohort students mourned the loss of her gentle soul and kind spirit.  Her aunts and her grandparents were devastated by her loss and established this memorial to ensure that other students who found a calling in the field of nursing would always have the opportunity to study and pursue their ambitions.  Each year, a scholarship is awarded for a nursing student and an award is given at the nursing pinning ceremony to a student who has exhibited excellence in clinical skills and a devotion to critical care.
